AT&T (NYSE: T), Amazon and NewEgg have been busy slashing the price of BlackBerry devices recently. Last I heard the BlackBerry 8900 was going for $49.95. Not too shabby at all. Not bad, but when you consider FREE as another option, $49.99 sounds a little too pricey to me!

I stumbled upon this deal earlier this morning while browsing the CrackBerry Wireless store. Looks like CrackBerry is now pushing the Silver 8900 BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve for AT&T for FREE on new AT&T accounts. You can get the full details right here. You’ll need to activate a new plan (starting at $30/mth), but still… Free is better than $49.99 last I checked.

Again, hit up CB Wireless for all the info.

    Ugh!

Remember when a deal sounds too good to be true? This may be the case. Crackberry’s deal is brought to you courtesy of the same folks that brought you WireFly, a site well-known for failing to deliver promised rebates.

Check the Better Business Bureau’s report on the company.

  2. That’s no good Vince! Thanks for the heads up on this, am going to check it out…

  3. Ok Vince I’ve checked into this. WireFly was the store by Inphonic. Inphonic did go under and came back as Simplexity. Simplexity doesn’t do rebates anymore… so they’re free of the issues they had in the past from what I can tell. So free is free (no rebate/you don’t pay anything up front) in the case of this deal. Should be all good!
