So, for a guy who plays on his BlackBerry and blogs all day long, this is exciting news. WordPress head honcho Matt Mullenweg has confirmed that a BlackBerry application is in the works. Details beyond that are slim, but it’s probably safe to assume it will offer functions similar to the iPhone app. There’s currently an add-on that provides a mobile-friendly web interface, but it’s really not that clean or fun to use – a dedicated, official BlackBerry app will help a ton with stuff like liveblogging and quick edits, plus the BlackBerry keyboard is built for writing; it’s not hard to imagine pumping out full drafts while on the go with one.
