Conference #3: Mobile Money Summit, Barcelona, June 22-25th

And the third conference I’ll attend while in Barcelona is the Mobile Money Summit. It’s the second time the event is organized, and it will bring together all interested stakeholders — including financial services institutions, mobile operators, development organizations and solutions vendors, as well as regulatory and policy makers.
The program is designed to provide a “comprehensive demonstration of the addressable markets, a showcase for new solutions, and a forum for sharing key success factors and lessons learned from around the world.” As a result, it is expected that the event stimulates greater understanding and collaboration between all parties globally, regionally and locally.
Among the co-organizers, there’s CGAP (Consultative Group to Assist the Poor), IFC (International Finance Corporation) and British Department for International Development. Platinum sponsor is VISA.
As for the speakers, the list includes people from entities such as Visa, Vodafone (NYSE: VOD), PayPal, The World Bank, GSMA, Obopay, and Orange.
I’ll stop here. You can see the full agenda from this page. And again, if you find this interesting, feel free to register while on the site.

[...] Dusan Belic from IntoMobile also does a great job talking up the program here. [...]
