Sprint corporate stores stocked for Palm Pre launch day!

While the Best Buys and Radioshacks throughout the US will have to make do with the handful of Palm Pre units they’ll likely have available for the June 6th launch, Sprint (NYSE: S) corporate stores are getting fully stocked for the carrier’s most important handset launch to date. One of our trust Sprint tipsters has confirmed that Sprint corporate stores are getting plenty of Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre units in preparation for launch day, with at least one store stocking something like 50 Palm Pre units.

These same Sprint stores are expecting more Palm Pre shipments to bolster inventory today. Unfortunately, Pre-hopefuls that don’t manage to get their hands on a Palm Pre on Saturday, they’ll have to wait until Monday for another chance at Pre-greatness – Sprint stores won’t be getting more Pre shipments until Monday. This contradicts information from PreCentral that has sprint receiving daily Palm Pre shipments, save for Sunday.

Our tipster also tells us that Sprint employees are being told to reserve a few Palm Pre units for the exchange of DOA handsets.

It will be up to each Sprint store to determine if they want to sell the Palm Pre on a line-ticket basis or a first-come-first-serve basis, but all stores should still have wait-lists for customers that miss the first round of Palm Pre sales. In either case, we’d recommend getting your behind to a Sprint store as early as possible. Sprint’s doors will apparently open around 8am, so do what you will with that bit of info.
