WritePad Notes

Phatware, which you may know for their Windows Mobile apps, has joined the “iPhone wave.” The company brought the WritePad product line to the AppStore, allowing users to create and organize notes, affairs, and events.

Probably the most interesting of the apps released is WritePad Notes and what’s interesting about it is that it incorporates handwrite recognition technology. And while I’m not sure iPhone owners dig the idea, it’s surely interesting for Windows Mobile-switchin’ users. Of course, you don’t have to use it — if you’ve found your way around iPhone’s virtual keyboard, that will work just as well.

Furthermore, the application supports multilevel undo and redo, text selection with cut/copy/paste support, and also includes a spell checker. In addition, users can include phone numbers and URLs in their notes and dial them later or open the page in Safari.

Other WritePad apps included in the AppStore are WritePad Affairs , which is a simple affairs (i.e. tasks, jobs, contracts, etc.) organizer; and WritePad Events, the application that allows recording of appointments, meetings, phone calls, tasks, etc.

WritePad Affairs, WritePad Events, and WritePad Notes are available at special introductory price of only $2.99 each. List price of $4.99 will go in effect in July… WritePad 1.8 Demo is currently available as a free download.
