Ultra-Thin Next-Gen iPhone Concept: Your Thoughts?

Now here’s a new next-gen iPhone concept I haven’t seen before… and I really like it. No details if this is real or fake, but regardless, the concept is ultra slim, an overall I’m liking the looks of it. All other rumors we’ve heard thus far leads us to believe the next-gen iPhone lineup will be strikingly similar to the iPhone 3G in form… But what would YOU think of a change to an ultra-slim design such as the one above? Would that help or hinder your purchase decision? Or is it more about the ‘guts’ of the device rather than the actual form? Actually, looking at this again, me thinks the placement of the home screen button may be an issue…
For me, I’m really hoping the next-gen iPhones have a rubberized backing of sorts. Much like an Otterbox case, you know? It helps for grip, drop protection, it won’t ’smudge’, and in my opinion… looks pretty good too. My two cents
Be sure to let me know what you think in the comments.
Side note: Be sure to stay tuned to IntoMobile on Monday… latest word is Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) may announce a cheaper iPhone device via WWDC. Exciting!

I love my nokia but now that this has the proper bluetooth and video recording and messaging upgrades, ITS MINE!! Oh, and this concept is friggin awesome!!
Extremely sexy, that looks awesome,
pretty sure it won’t turn out that good though
I really don’t like the idea that phones and ipods should be this thin. the thinner you make something, the less durable it is. it’s not opinion, it’s fact, especially when it comes to these small electronics.
sure it looks nice, but i’d rather buy one phone and have it last me 5-6 years without problems than get a pretty one every year.
Not sure. Thin is nice. I’d rather have it slightly thicker with more battery life.
Yep, definitely a bit thicker with more battery life is essential. Form over function doesn’t always cut it. Apple tries to balance it, but the iPhone is indispensable and it needs to work as long as possible before recharging. I’m willing to sacrifice the thinness.
Well, I don’t think anyone who purchases an IPhone expects it to last 5-6 years. The way consumer electronics works these days, with planned obsolescence, we’ll be lucky if we can get 3 years out of an IPhone.

Having the screen go closer to the edge is very nice but the home button could easily be pressed in your pocket. Very nice besides that!
That looks sick!! I would LOVE Apple to make this. I’d buy it. TBH the 3GS just bores me.
