I would certainly hope Rogers PR knows more about the situation than sales reps, but you never know with carriers.

Hmm, even in apples keynote they were saying 3gs would hit Canada on the 19th…. doubt fido or rogers would be left cold on that for one area or anything…. I`ve seen numerous sources citing no upgrade early so that`s likely legit. Heh the 600$ for a non subsidized one`s out of my financial reach for sure at this point and i`d bet only 7 months or so into my contract the cancellation fee would put it far above what i could do too in order to get another contract with a cheaper phone… if that`d even work out cheaper.

I think suffice it to say that your average Rogers employee would not have even known this phone was announced today. Let alone release dates and pricing options.

A senior rogers director twittered earlier in the day that they would be releasing the 3GS on the 19th of June — exactly according to this article. Rogers “reps” tend to be horribly misinformed, and love to make up information that ’sounds’ right.

I just got off the phone from a Rogers representative that told me that I am not eligible for an upgrate. I bought an iPhone 3G on July 11th last year. He also told me that the new iPHone 3G-S was not going to be available until July 11th of this year…..I’m not sure where you got your information, but I’d like to know if yours outranks mine?
