OtterBox Curve
Just when I finally got around to trying out the OtterBox case for the BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Storm, they launch the BlackBerry 8900 Curve Defender Series. It never ends with these people. In my experience, the Defender series’ three-layer protection works great for splash and impact protection, is the best protection you’ll find if size is no object, and with every iteration they do some vital fine-tuning. Despite that, I doubt we’ll see any major difference in Curve’s case performance versus the Bold’s, which I took a look at awhile back. If you’re looking for something a little lighter, take a look at our Impact Series skin review. You can nab the Defender Series for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 over here for $49.99.

Unless T-mobile, an engineer at CU, and I are all missing something, the 8900 has a serious issue – with the t-mobile phone the speakers do not line up, so I can not hear anything… Love otter products, but someone really messed up on this one. Have sent two emails to the company with no reply yet…. Maybe I can test their claim of indestructibility out and try to drill my own speaker holes….
