Palm Eos (aka Pixie) Confirmed via webOS Snippet?

A few on-the-ball members over at the PreCentral Forums have managed to find what looks to be solid evidence that the pint-sized sibling to the Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre, the Palm Eos (aka Pixie) will indeed be on its way soon. The evidence comes our way via a snippet of webOS code. Check it out below:
Interesting. Take a look at /etc/miniboot.sh:
Code:
# Start novacomd service
if [[ "$hostName" == "castle" ]];then
modprobe g_composite product=0×8002
elif [[ "$hostName" == "pixie" ]];then
modprobe g_composite product=0×8012
else
modprobe -q g_composite
fiLooks like a second webOS device.
I tend to agree. If “$codeName” = ‘pixie’ ]]; then please launch the Palm Eos before the end of the summer
Side note: It sure is nice to be reading/writing/learning about new and exciting developments from the folks at Palm… on a consistent basis. It’s been a long time coming!
