Rugby Nations 09

Distinctive Developments has recently published what they say is the first rugby game for the iPhone platform called Rugby Nations 09. As most of our readers come from the U.S., I doubt this title will be interesting for them. Then again, we also have followers from other parts of the world who deserve some attention as well.

Anyway, the game doesn’t sound that easy to play as it relies on a mixture of virtual touchscreen buttons, accelerometer controls, and swiping to kick conversions. You can lead ten international teams and compete in three different tournaments…

The developer obviously thinks the game has a huge potential, hence they’ve signed up rugby star Will Carling to promote it. It’s already available in the AppStore from where you can grab it for 2.99 GBP — that’s in UK of course.

And now it’s time for some video action that follows after the jump.
