Wolfram Alpha Web App Available for the iPhone

If you’ve never tried or heard of Wolfram Alpha before, I recommend you pop over to check it out. The brainchild of mathematics guru Stephen Wolfram, this ‘computational knowledge engine’ provides you with some really interesting results that you can’t find anywhere else. Pop in equations, distances, units or anything else you can think of, and Wolfram Alpha will churn out appropriate charts and supplementary info to get you the info you need. In fact, before you begin I highly recommend you check out the examples page.

Bottom line, this ‘knowledge engine’ is pretty cool.

To make it just a touch ‘cooler’, an iPhone formatted version of the engine is now located at www.wolframalpha.com/iphone. Punch this into Safari on your iPhone to give it a whirl… I think you’ll really enjoy it!
