LG Announces Windows Mobile-Packing GW550, Looking E71ish

LG isn’t just rehashing hardware announced at Mobile World Congress at CommunicAsia (although they are pushing the watch phone, Style, GM730 and everything else they announced in Barcelona) – the GW550 is a new handset that’s squarely targeting the enterprise crowd with distinctly BlackBerryish looks. LG is staying mum on a lot of the details, but it’ll be running Windows Mobile 6.1, packing a 3 megapixel camera, a QVGA display, and HSUPA/HSDPA connectivity. In the Windows Mobile sphere, the GW550 will be butting heads most directly with the upcoming HTC Snap, but those looking for a bigger keyboard may sooner eyeball the Touch Pro 2 or the Omnia 2. No information on release dates or carriers, as usual, but no doubt we’ll get something in good time.

wow, that looks exactly like the Nokia E71!
Ehh, it doesn’t have ”BlackBerryish looks”, its an exact copy of the E71 from Nokia as Stefan says
WTF!? E71 rivalry maybe?
Yep thats gunning for the Nokia.
