Bing, a search engine no one uses, is trying to lure users by offering cash incentives. One of those incentives is a 35% discount at the AT&T (NYSE: T) Online Store, which means you can get a new iPhone 3G S for as low as $130!

If you are new to AT&T:

  1. Visit ATT Wireless website and validate your email address with Premier.
  2. Check your email and click the link to your ATT Premier Store.
  3. Open a new tab with the same browser that your ATT Premier Store is open in.
  4. Go to bing.com in the new tab and search “att wireless”
  5. Click the 35% CashBack Sponsored Link
  6. Sign into your CashBack account and get redirected to the main AT&T Wireless page.
  7. In the top right enter the term “Premier” into the search bar.
  8. Click the first link that reads “at&t premier login”
  9. You will get directed to the same Premier store you have open in the original tab.
  10. Congratulations, you are in the Premier store under the CashBack AT&T Site

If you’re not:

  1. Go to bing.com
  2. Search ” ATT WIRELESS “.
  3. Click the AT&T sponsored link, you will redirected (after you enter your email) to either the regular AT&T store or the Premier store depending on which account you have
  4. Log in to your account and make your purchase.
  5. The cashback will show up as “pending” after a couple of hours.
  6. If it takes more than 48 hours for the cashback to show up, contact bing’s customer service then you will asked for your order number, method of payment( I attached my whole purchase order to the email): You cash will show up within hours

It’s best to do this in Internet Explorer. I have not tested this, but Will insists that I post this while he is busy picking up young girls standing in line waiting for the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) Store in Santa Monica to open.

i hope this works. because if i don’t win the third giveaway thing, papa can’t afford the a new phone right now. and this 3.0 update has my iphone 3g going quite sluggish. UGH. did i miss the third winner. lol. it’s past midnight.

  2. Canada? We are the one who need this kind of thing! They charge us the full price for an upgrade. Yes! $800 for the 32GB even if we already gave them $1 800 during the last year. That’s not fair…

  3. Jasmine says:

Tried this but instead of the Bing Premiere store I get signed into a different corporate premiere store. Don’t think I want to proceed, or if I am able to to get the discount.

  4. rojo says:

    No one uses Bing?

  5. Jake Mulley says:

I used Bing for this particular search, I think it’s just Live Search. The design is totally similar. I’d use it more if there was a discount for O2. Wouldn’t you?

  6. FUD Buster says:

Seriously? Bing ranks higher on Alexa than intomobile.com (105 to 4000+). How about writing about something you really have the facts on?

  7. Ken Jackson says:

Actually, I now use Bing as my primary search engine. I must admit that I’ve tried to move off of Google several times. This is the first time I’ve actually gone more than a couple of days before giving up (tried Live, Ask, Yahoo — all just were pretty sucky). I’ve actually gone about 3 days without a single Google query, much less having to do a lot of queries on Google.

So far, Bing has impressed me. Is it much better than Google… not searchwise, but the presentation of data, especially for sports.

  8. Charlie says:

    DOES NOT WORK!!

  9. Craig Macaulay says:

Yeah that’s a pretty stupidly snarky intro to this article. Bing is making fairly decent inroads into a Google dominated market. There have been lots of articles online about it, you might want to read a couple before commenting next time.

Either way a good idea, just could have used a little less propaganda.

  10. dhinchak says:

Yes i do, and i actually like it more than Google. Don’t be a hater for the sake of being a hater.. Give it a try..!! :)

  11. Bing Bot says:

I find the only users and pumpers of Bing are MSFT employees.

  12. jw says:

I also made the switch to Bing and the reason is that it actually is a good product. Loyalty is for college football teams; when a better search comes along, loyalty has nothing to do with staying with or switching to another vendor.

Simply go with what works for you.

  13. [...] actually works, so if you try it, make sure to let us know how it worked out&. [SlickDeals via IntoMobile via [...]

  14. RW says:

I agree with JW, go with what works. That’s why I left viruses, adware, spyware, etc in the rearview mirror and bought a Mac. And like Bing it Works!.

  15. Wolfmore says:

Sounds like a clever attempt to make iPhone 3gs buyers want to return their purchase and try to go for this discount . That will cause headaches to apple and AT&T and put a smile on Ballmer (CEO of Microsoft)

  16. tech.monk says:

This is the most funny statement …. shows you never paid any attention to maths/statistics in school. Let me help you :
    1) Check out what is the estimate no. of search users in the world
    2) Calaculate 12 % of it … you will get a number
    3) Compare the number in calculate in (2) with the total no. of employees microsoft has, which is less than 100,000.
    4) Result …. you will be surprised how many people use bing.

It is better to keep your mouth and let others guess you are a fool rather than opening it and confirming that you indeed are.

I am not a fan of either bing, google or yahoo and will use whatever works best for me. For last two weeks, I have been using bing for travel and shopping and it rocks!! for the rest I am using a mix of google and yahoo.

  17. Matt Winfield says:

Went through the step by step process and I am not seeing the discount. I do already get a 15% discount on the monthly fee from the company I work for so this may be interfering with the bing discount.

  18. Grytpype says:

Does not apply to upgrades! So existing iPhone owners are SOL!

  19. Martha says:

You must either not follow the news or as just another insufferable iBoi.

Bing has been a real surprise even though I still us google. Image and Video searching they’ve got Google beat but are lacking on their new aggregation

  20. kapitalist says:

Bing looks cool but it is no google…and remember for cheap prices, try froogle (googles price search)…havent used it in awhile but i think its still up??

I detest ms…so unless its REALLY that GREAT..i will probably not use it.

Unfortunately for many customers they have not been reliable in honoring the cashback requests. Please read more about this at http://digg.com/d1wcdx – When presented with the screenshots and evidence from customers at this Get Satisfaction link, the initial response from Bing Cashback has been to stay silent. With only a few customers posting there so far, this is a good strategy for them if they expect this to go unnoticed. Negative experiences please post your Bing Cashback ticket number so they can help you if they so choose. Positive experiences please post so that it can be documented they have already honored this in some cases, and should do the same for the rest of us. By posting your experiences, you help to hold them to what was advertised and remind them to deal with you in an honest manner in the future. Thank you for your help with this.
