[Update] Thanks to everyone who showed up, we had over 170 people watching Will buy his white 32 GB iPhone. The chat room was a load of laughs, and next time there is a live launch we’ll keep you updated. Simon and Will may be recording the next podcast right now, but it’s anyone’s guess what Will is going to do after staying awake for 12 hours in queue!
Will and Tom are at the Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) Store in Santa Monica and they have a laptop setup on Ustream showing what it’s like to queue. I’m in the chat room remotely via Finland, Will and Tom are just goofing around trying to pass the time. Come and watch.
I’m also enjoying Juhannus, Finnish for mid summer. In Finland they celebrate the summer solstice. I’m having a blast with my White Russian. What are you drinking internet?

The dude abides.
[Update]
As of 6:50AM, this is what the Santa Monica Third Street Promenade Apple Store looks like:

Drinking me a medium BK Joe. I’m that damn classy.
White Russian? I see you rolled your way into the Semis…
What else am I going to drink at 2 in the afternoon?
haha… it’s all good… Do you roll on Shabbos?
Never was Jewish, too scared to get the cut.
Was fun watching the stream over in Santa Monica from here in the UK. Cant wait to get my iPhone 3GS!
excellent Big Lebowski reference
I’m still amazed at apple’s marketing pull and the fact people waited in line for a spec bump in a phone.
Congrats on your new iphone. now i’m off to work this 12 hour shift of activating for at&t. we heavy staffed cuz of the launch. i’m hoping that everything is seamless and we don’t run into any problems. i really didn’t get enough sleep. lol.
The live launch was simply AWESOME. Loved it, and joined just about the right time!
Will is the daddy of t-shirt nipple video recording, we had a whole, pure, 5 mins of that during the entry to the store.
And I saw TWO moonwalks during the webcast – moonwalks should be mandatory in live webcasts.
Yay.
