Mobile 2.0 Europe startup #3: Vulevu – Don’t search – Be found!

Vulevu is a mobile dating service. We’ve seen quite a few similar services, with some of them being quite large companies.
Their difference (though there are some other services which provide the similar offering like Flirtomatic) is in allowing users to buy their way to the top of the list. Think of it as Google (NSDQ: GOOG) AdWords of mobile dating — by paying few dimes, your profile could be among the featured people to meet.
Since it’s a mobile service, Vulevu is location aware. Moreover, it’s context aware and in that sense you can opt to meet someone for launch or some local event, which is neat.
Finally, it’s important to add that Vulevu works on both mobiles and desktop PCs, though most of the communication is done via SMS.
As for the money making part, they plan to generate income from premium SMS and MMS, advertising and digital goods sales (gift giving). Vulevu closed seed financing round and is live in beta for 3 months.
