Mobile Innovation Grand Prix EMEA Tournament

And the winners of the 2010 Mobile Innovation Grand Prix competition are…

First come the Global Finalists for the Mobile Innovation Grand Prix EMEA Tournament:

  • IDENT Technology (Germany)
  • Electro Power Systems (Italy)

Two global finalists have won the right to compete against other regional Mobile Innovation Global Finalists for the 2010 GSMA Mobile Innovation Grand Prix, and the winner will be named at the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards ceremony at the Mobile World Congress, which takes place in Barcelona next February.

Mobile Innovation Grand Prix EMEA Tournament - finalists

The five category winners are:

  • Most Innovative Consumer Application or Service – Multiplied Media (Canada)
  • Most Innovative Embedded Mobile or Device-centric Technology – IDENT Technology (Germany)
  • Most Innovative Carrier Infrastructure or VAS Platform – Novarra (USA)
  • Most Innovative Enterprise Application or Service – DeviceAnywhere (USA)
  • Most Innovative Product Enabling a Greener World – Electro Power Systems (Italy)

As for the judging panel, it was comprised of:

  • Frederic Schepens, EVP, Strategic Business Development, Belgacom ICS;
  • Marcos Battisti, Sector Director – Mobility, Intel Capital;
  • Steve Glagow, VP, Marketing Operations, Orange Partner, Orange; and
  • Paolo Paganucci, VP, Innovation Plan, Telecom Italia.
