HTC Hero Passes Certification

HTC Hero

The Global Certification Forum has approved the HTC Hero, a mere two days away from what we presume will be the launch event. The biggest change that we can tell so far is the user interface makeover – if you haven’t had a chance to check out Rosie, take a look at some of the screenshots. We first saw the Hero when HTC’s ‘09 roadmap leaked out, and although specs didn’t show up then, the GCF certification confirms the Hero will be running on quad-band GSM and dual-band HSPA. Other pics have revealed that it will be packing a 3.5 mm headphone jack and none of this extUSB nonsense. It’s good to see HTC is keeping up with the Android hardware even though other manufacturers are finally starting to get the ball rolling.
