samsung-jetApple sold over 1 million iPhone 3GS units over the weekend. That’s impressive. What I’m about to tell you about here is most definitely impressive as well. Samsung has announced that pre-orders for the upcoming Samsung Jet device have already reached the 2 million mark. Ridiculous! I knew the Jet had a lot of great stuff packed into it (and it’s one sleek and stylish looking device), but I had no idea the demand was so high.

Key features and specs on the Samsung Jet:

  • 3.1″ WVGA AMOLED touchscreen display
  • TouchWiz 2.0 interface
  • 800MHz processor
  • GPS
  • 5MP Camera
  • DivX and XviD video support
  • Exchange support
  • Full HTML web browsing

Craziness. Anyone out there pumped about the Jet? Or would you rather have the iPhone 3GS, the Palm Pre… or perhaps the upcoming BlackBerry Storm 2? Sound off!

The hardware is undeniably good, but how can anyone bear to buy such an up to date phone with such a backwards OS like WiMo 6.1 (I know its upgradable to 6.5 its still dire)

  • Thumper

so what’s wrong with comparing the phone with the g2?

By the way, the Samsung Jet isn’t a Windows Mobile phone, it’s a Symbian phone. The Samsung Omnia II is the new Samsung Windows Mobile phone.

My bad, apologies. The Jet uses a Samsung OS not S60, ie its not a smartphone.
