Heads up to all folks that are on the BIS. BlackBerry Internet Service is getting an upgrade to 2.7, and the rollout will occur today at 11PM PST through tomorrow at 3AM (this is for the US, Canada, and Americas). The upgrade seems to be somewhat minor, including the following updates:

  • improved help screen to allow sending of service books, access to BlackBerry Answers, show contact info for wireless service providers, and the opening of the BlackBerry HELP website on the device
  • revised close option allows subscribers to close the email settings app easily
  • language options updated to include Thai and Indonesian

You can check out complete details from RIM. Again, a heads up for 11PM PST through 3AM tonight/tomorrow. If you notice an outage… this is why! Nothing to worry about though, stay the course.
