I compared the iPhone 3GS with it. The result is clear: the Samsung is superior, from far, to the iPhone. It seems the resistive with amoled is at least as good as capacitive with lcd. The type of display does. A transflective LCD works wonderfully in either sunlight or no light (an automatic backlight usually comes on when it's dark). Think Nokia need to get this market soon before it becomes outdated like the N97.
