iPhone OS 3.0 Ruins Battery Life?
By Simon Sage on Monday, July 6th, 2009 at 8:03 AM PST In Rumors, iPhone
Widespread anecdotal evidence is blaming the latest iPhone software for cutting battery life extremely short (ironic, considering it was one of the key selling points of the recently-released 3GS model). We’ve had plenty of comments in agreement on the issue, though some are able to get things working smoothly after a clean reinstall of the software. Push notifications have been a thorn in Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s side lately, and could be the battery drain culprit – if you’re having problems, try turning it off and ditching your Exchange accounts. OS 3.1 looks like it’s just around the corner, so we can only hope it’ll patch things up.

I’ve definitely noticed a decrease in my battery life since upgrading but I’m doubtful there will be a fix.
noticed this on my 3G. turned off all push notification services. now its back to normal. but i dont get to enjoy push. tsk tsk.
i have the same issues even, with my push, turned off, i still see the battery drainage issue
How do I turn off push? I do not think I have it activated at all.
