New U2/BlackBerry Ads Debut Over July 4 Weekend

First U2 teamed up with Apple (NSDQ: AAPL). The iPod ‘U2 Special Edition’ was all over the place some time ago, and featured a custom case, band member signatures, and music that came pre-loaded on the device. Now, the band has switched teams (for the right amount of money, of course!) and are working together with RIM on a new campaign to promote their 360 world tour. New ads appeared on TV and elsewhere over the July 4th weekend… many of which plugged the heck out of their new ‘mobile album’.
I can personally confirm this, as during previews at the movies over the weekend (went to see Public Enemies) our theater was graced with one of these new ads. For more info or to check out some of the ads, head on over to BlackBerry.
‘BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Loves U2′… And I’m sure they love you too… how much did you pay ‘em Jimmy Boy?
