Telecom Italia plans $4.2 billion investment in its Brazilian operation – TIM Participacoes

Telecom Italia (NYSE: TI) has said that it will invest 3 billion EUR (about $4.2 billion) over the next three year in its Brazilian operation – TIM Participacoes.
In an interview with the local newspaper, Folha de S. Paulo, the company’s chairman Gabriele Galateri said that they’ll focus on developing wireless broadband services, which offer more solid opportunities than landline services.
He also noted that they’ve already invested 10 billion EUR (about $14 billion) in the country over the past ten years…
