Popular outdoor navigation tool, Trimble Outdoors, is going Android, “turning the G1 into a full-featured GPS navigator and geotagging tool for hiking, backpacking, fishing and other outdoor activities.”
The press release only talks about the T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) G1, but we guess the application is/will be available for the other Android phones in the coming weeks, as well.
There’s also a web component that allows users to:
- Review and plan trips
- Send routes, maps and waypoints wirelessly to the G1
- Share photo, text and audio notes
- Access other people’s trips
Price wise, Trimble Outdoors costs $19.99 and it’s readily available in the Android Market…
