Samsung M900 InstinctQ spotted in certification docs

Samsung’s got some sort of unannounced Instinct handset cooking up in their R&D labs. Thanks to a WiFi Certification document, we know that there’s some sort of dual-mode handset (which apparently means it surfs both cellular and WiFi networks) headed to US shores bearing the “Samsung SPH-M900 InstinctQ” moniker. The Samsung InstinctQ will likely end up on Sprint (NYSE: S)’s CDMA network, following in Sprint’s tradition of launching Instinct smartphones.
The Samsung M900 InstinctQ leak follows on rumors of another Instinct model coming down Samsung product pipeline – the Samsung M850. It’s unclear how the two handsets are related, but there’s some speculation that the M850 could be the GSM-ying to the M900’s CDMA-yang. Of course, a heaping spoonful of salt would be in order.
No word on any specs, pricing or availability yet. But, CellPassion mentions that the Samsung InstinctQ might be another Android OS-powered smartphone from Samsung. An Instinct-branded handset featuring the Android OS and a capacitance-based touchscreen would be a great addition to the Instinct lineup. We can only hope that the rumor pans out.
