aim-20-beta-windows-mobileWindows Mobile users loyal to the AIM instant messaging platform will be happy to hear that the AIM 2.0 client has just gone public beta for the WinMo platform. The new version of the AIM client for Windows Mobile brings some serious new features to the table. Most notable among them is the new AIM Lifestream feature that keeps you in touch with what your friends are doing online. And, combined with the new “Me” tab, which gives you a heads-up every time someone leaves a comment or “likes” one of your updates.

Lifestream lets you stay on top of your friends’ updates from Twitter, Facebook, Delicious, and even YouTube. You can leave comments and “like” updates from your friends, as long as they have the new AIM 2.0 beta for WinMo – all the more reason to push your friends to grab the beta. Of course, being a beta, there’s going to be some bugs and stability issues, so keep that in mind.

All in all, the new AIM 2.0 for Windows Mobile works a lot like Twitter. Grab AIM 2.0 beta for WM here.
