Option iCON 452 USB modem

Cincinnati Bell, which is also known as the first carrier in the U.S. to offer the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, has a new USB modem in its offering. It’s Option iCON 452 HSPA+ USB, which utilizes the AWS spectrum, providing users with fast 3.5G Internet speeds.

Like many other such products on the market, Option’s modem comes with plug’n play capability, meaning you won’t need any installation CDs. Simply insert a device in a free USB port and follow the procedure on the screen. Moreover, there’s a built-in microSD memory card slot (again we’ve seen this in some other USB modems as well), which means you could use the iCON 452 as an USB flash drive, as well…

BTW, I’ve tried to find the Option iCON 452 USB modem on Cincinnati Bell’s website but failed. It’s Option which made the press release, and I guess the modem will hit the carrier’s website in no time.

UPDATE: Got the link to Cincinnati Bell’s website where you can get more details. Here it is. They are selling it for 50 bucks with a plan.
