Motorola’s new Mobile Chief Marketing Officer, William Ogle, pinched from Samsung USA

William Ogle, who used to be the Chief Marketing Officer for Samsung Telecommunications America, will soon begin working at Motorola under the same title. He is going to be reporting directly to Sanjay Jha, CEO of Mobile Devices at Motorola (NYSE: MOT). The only cool piece of marketing I remember from Samsung is the Omnia unboxing video embedded above, which has received over 3.2 million hits on YouTube. Was he responsible for that? I don’t know. Will he be able to do some awesome things for Motorola? I don’t know. Will fancy marketing save Motorola? Absolutely not.
