Nuance acquires Jott to expand its voice services offering

Nuance acquires Jott

Nuance — aka the company behind T9 — announced that it has expanded its Mobile Division voice services portfolio with the acquisition of Jott, the company behind the popular Jott Assistant service which allows users to perform various tasks by voice.

And what are Nuance’s plans with Jott?

  • Nuance plans to package and offer Jott Assistant to operators as part of its voice services portfolio, including Nuance Voicemail-to-Text.
  • Together with its Enterprise Unified Communications partners, Nuance will offer a “secure, highly scalable and differentiated” Enterprise package including Nuance Voicemail-to-Text, Messaging, and Collaboration.
  • Finally, they will continue to mainstream and expand the CRM partner program through its existing CRM partnerships.

The press release also deals with existing customers saying that all of Jott’s services will remain available, with no interruptions in service.
