Nokia to introduce a new Cseries lineup of devices?

We’re all familiar with Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s Nseries, which arguably are the best devices on the market if you’re into recording video or taking pictures, and Nokia’s Eseries, which sadly run S60, but they make up for that fact by being sexy and built like a German Panzer tank, so is the Finnish company planning on introducing a third category of devices called Cseries? That’s what Finnish site Puhelinvertailu is saying. According to them, Nokia has trademarked the phrase Cseries in Finland. Could this be what Nokia is planning to call their Maemo powered smartphones? We’re just going to have to wait and see.

I think it’s MUCH more likely that C-series is related to cheaper Symbian smart phones. Nokia has already said that they are going to bring Symbian to low vost phones too. So this is probably related to that.
You really should not expect Nokia to start producing Maemo or Andorid or what ever smartphones. Symbian will be the OS which Nokia’s smartphones use in the future too.
It will be interesting to see Nokia symbian S60 v5 finally filtering through to the ‘cheaper’ range, if thats what the C range will be. Until now S60 has really be reserved for the expensive phones.
