Nokia (NYSE: NOK) has made its Files on OVI service completely free. Earlier, it was available starting from 7 EUR per month for 10GB of storage space, and now it’s 100% free.
According to Nokia: “On-the-go file access is a basic component of a complete mobile lifestyle offering. Providing Ovi Files for free enables Nokia to connect more people to Ovi and accelerate the creation of even more advanced Files and Ovi features.”
We think it’s low demand for the service that made the Finnish giant re-think its strategy. Whatever the reasoning behind this move is, you can now have your files accessible from anywhere, on both your laptop and mobile phone, for free. Simply register for Ovi (if you still haven’t) and take it from there.
