Palm takes on former Apple creative mind as SVP

Palm (NSDQ: PALM) has a new Senior Vice President of Brand Design. Meet Jeff Zwerner, a two-time Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) employee tasked with helping shape Apple’s design aesthetic. As part of Palm’s push to take on the likes of Apple and the iPhone, Zwerner brings his experience as Senior Art Director and Creative Director for Packaging to Palm’s table.

The Palm Pre-maker has been on a hiring stint recently, scooping up former Apple employees to stock its engineering and executive ranks. As Palm continues to redefine itself as a hip and modern smartphone manufacturer, we’ll probably see more formare Apple hires at Palm. Zwerner should round out Palm’s new talent-package, helping to guide the Palm brand through new waters charted by the sleek and desirable Palm Pre.
