We got another confirmation that the upcoming HTC Fiesta aka T5252 will be an Android-powered handset. We’re also hearing it will boast a standard, so last-year QVGA screen along with an also standard numeric-keypad. In that sense, this could be part of HTC’s and Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s efforts to bring Android to the mass market, making the device available for (few) hundred bucks or so. Moreover, Engadget says that internal HTC linking indicates Fiesta is coming to AT&T (NYSE: T)! That could be a great news for our U.S. readers (majority), who always wanted to ride the smartphone wave, but couldn’t afford it. We’ll be certainly watching how this progress. Stay tuned…

ewww QVGA with Android … that just seems so wrong, and a step backwards compared to what T-Mobile has with the G1 and now the G2 Touch or MyTouch or whatever it is they’re calling it
