pic youtubelogo 123x63 1 YouTube Mobile Site RevampedGoogle has announced that their mobile YouTube site has been optimized for the iPhone, webOS, Android, and “smartphones with capable browsers”. While the three examples they give already host native YouTube applications preloaded, rendering a mobile site something of a moot point, there are without a doubt many older devices without such a luxury, and are happy to finally get in on the fun. Now, I don’t prod into the mobile YouTube that often, but I found an unfamiliar Optimize link at the bottom when visiting from the N97 and N86 that takes you through a quick seven-step test to figure out what works and what doesn’t on your phone; I’m not able to see the link on the iPod Touch or BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve 8520, however. YouTube’s mobile site has been around for about two years now with little change – what are you noticing in the new version?
