Popular Australian metal band Karnivool has teamed up with game developer Staring Man to launch a tower defence kind of game for the iPhone called Pools of Blood. The game features the band’s hit single “Set Fire to the Hive” and — like that’s the case with similar titles — it’s your task to defend your fortress from various orcs, goblins and ogres. To do that, simple tap on the enemy and squish it into thick red jelly. Additionally, you can send out shock waves to knock nearby monsters off their feet to focus on more immediate threats…
Pools of Blood could be yours for a buck (AppStore link), and a free, lite version is also available. A short demo video of the game follows after the jump.

The soundtrack is good! Looks too easy though – to simplistic. It would be cooler if there was more to do than just squish stuff.
