Mysterious Slate MID Runs Android

Some pictures of an Android-running mobile internet device have bubbled up from unnamed Chinese forums, alongside a few brief specifications. The touchscreen is between 4.3 and 5 inches, data cruising over Wi-Fi and possibly 3G, and come preloaded with instant messaging apps like Windows Live Messenger and Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Talk. The processor is a Rockchip RK2808, which was designed specifically for Android and multimedia handling. It certainly looks like a nice piece of hardware, and, as far as I’m concerned, defines the outer limit for what Android could be used before Chrome OS becomes a more reasonable option. This could just be a tech demo or something limited to the Chinese market, but it would certainly be nice to get a closer look.
