Samsung is gearing toward launching its flagship Windows phone, Omnia 2, to more markets. After making it available in countries like Singapore, Philippines, Indonesia and Vietnam (in July), the all-touchscreen phone is heading to 20 more countries — including Australia, China, the UAE, Netherlands and Turkey.
Those not familiar should know the Omnia 2 comes with a huge 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, tri-band HSPA (900/1900/2100 MHz), WiFi, GPS, 5 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash, and 800 MHz ARM processor. Samsung’s TouchWIZ UI is running the show on top of Windows Mobile 6.1, and will be upgradable to 6.5, once it’s released…

I’ve read the review of this Samsung Omnia 2 and honestly , I love it and I can’t wait to buy it . But unfortunately , It’s still hasn’t come to Medan , Indonesia yet And if it do come here to medan , Indonesia . I’ll wait for the Windows Mobile 6,5 upgraded version , then Ill certainly have it
I just had an online chat with a rep from Verizon (forgot to copy the text) Sad
I simply asked when she thought the Omnia II was going to be released. She looked into it and just said “soon”. We talked a little more and I found that she herself was looking forward to the release of the Omnia II. After a little flattering Wink, she told me to hold on while she checked with someone at a “higher level”. When she came back she said that I should definitely check back on Friday.
So, I’m thinking that at the very least(hopefully) on Friday we should have a date for the Verizon release. wait for updates at http://www.samsung-omnia.org
