Trapster for the Palm Pre Coming Soon
By James Falconer on Friday, August 14th, 2009 at 7:12 AM PST In Applications, Palm Pre, Rumors

Hey, this one is kind of cool! The very popular speed trap and red camera notification tool ‘Trapster’ is coming to Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Pre! This one is already available for the iPhone, BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM), many Nokia (NYSE: NOK) devices, some Symbian S60 devices… and even the TomTom and Garmin GPS can be loaded up with the latest Trapster information. Using the app is simple, boot it up and the app will cross reference your current location via GPS, with any speed camera, red light camera or radar alerts in their system. Warnings are given to you in plenty of time to help you avoid those pesky (and expensive) traffic tickets. Trapster also makes it easy to add new locations and watch-outs to their system, to help others avoid trouble that may lay ahead in your area.
Of course, there’s no word on a release date for the Pre version of Trapster, but I’d look for it sometime soon. When it becomes available, look for Trapster in the App Catalog for free! For more information, hit up Trapster.com
Note: Trapster is busy working on a Windows Mobile version too.
