Discovery Channel iPhone application

Discovery Channel iPhone application is in the AppStore, featuring “robust collection” of video clips from the network’s most popular shows including Mythbusters, Man vs. Wild, Dirty Jobs, Time Warp, Deadliest Catch, Cash Cab and Shark Week. In addition, the app also features quizzes, photo galleries, programming schedules and updates from Discovery News, as well as the ability to share content with friends (via email), and/or to save it to favorites.

Finally, there are links to iTunes Store from where users can grab/buy the full-episodes of Discovery’s top rated programming.

Commenting on the app release, Discovery’s Doug Craig said: “Consumers are increasingly looking to enjoy their entertainment while mobile and our new Discovery Channel App offers the ultimate on-the-go fan experience for iPhone and iPod touch. We are excited to bring viewers another compelling option with which to experience our high-quality content and satisfy their curiosity in way that fits their lifestyle.”
