A full-touchscreen phone from Samsung has shown its face, apparently called the S3650 Corby, and packs a lot of style for its modest specs.
- Quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE
- 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display
- Access to YouTube, MySpace and Facebook
- Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
- MP3 player
- FM radio
- 2MP camera
- MicroSD card support
- 103 x 57 x 13 mm
- 92 grams
The Corby’s rumoured price point will be in the neighbourhood of €200 ($286), and this thing has apparently already passed through the FCC, so we may be seeing it in the U.S. sometime soon. Considering the French TouchWiz user interface, we can probably expect an earlier launch in France.

In exploring RIM’s platform, he has learned what enterprises are looking for in mobility as well as what makes the innocuous BlackBerry so appealing to them. Recently Simon’s been covering RIM’s gradual move into an already-crowded consumer market, and the impact of burgeoning challengers, such as the iPhone, as well as long-time leaders, like Nokia, on BlackBerry’s advancement.
