Samsung moves 100,000 Galaxies in Europe in a month

Korean website Hanooki.com reports (English translation link) that Samsung has sold 100,000 units of its Android-powered Galaxy smartphone in Europe within a month after the launch. The figure may be far behind Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s numbers, but it’s important to realize we’re talking about a single Android phone, only. To be fair, I’m sure that the number of all Android-powered smartphones sold combined can’t come close to what Apple has sold, but it’s still a respectable figure for the fresh platform like Android. We’re eager to see how all this will play out for Google (NSDQ: GOOG)’s mobile OS, and considering the Korean giant has another Android smartphone in the pipeline (I5700 aka Galaxy Lite), we’re starting to believe all those reports that suggest Android will become a dominant mobile platform in the future.
