myblackberry MyBlackBerry Community Finally Open to Public

After a false start a few weeks ago, the official BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) forums are now open to the masses. There’s already a pretty decent amount of traffic, and should provide a slightly more sociable destination than community support forums, which are dedicated solely to troubleshooting people’s problems. It’s a good distinction to make, as forums can quickly degenerate into mountains of technical support questions if there isn’t a space set aside for that kind of thing. Sections for applications, tips, accessories and general chit-chat cover pretty much all the bases, and robust profile options let you put together friends lists, keep an eye on their (and your own) threads, as well as find like-minded users. If you’re in the market for hopping BlackBerry communities, Pinstack, BlackBerry Forums, Howard Forums, CrackBerry Forums and our own RIM forums are all good stops to make too, but be sure to sign up to the new MyBlackBerry service and see how things are shaping up.
