You may recall Simon’s post yesterday about an impending OS update for the AT&T BlackBerry Bold. Well, just as a quick update for the AT&T (NYSE: T) Bold users out there, the new OS is indeed available. The update brings things up to 4.6.0.297, and delivers a few nice new features. Most importantly, AT&T’s visual voicemail is built-in! Yep, finally our American BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Bold users can now partake in the joy that is visual voicemail, something we’ve actually had up here in Canada on the Bold for some time now (on Rogers (NYSE: RCI)).
To get started with the update head to your Settings > Advanced Options > Upgrade. This should get you started if you’re on AT&T. If you’re not, delete the vendor.xml file before you start, and hit up this link for the download.

I downloaded the visual voicemail on my BB Bold, but when I click the application, it tells me that provisioning failed and to contact my service provider. I contacted the wonderful people at AT&T and asked them to reprovision my BB and they told me it is already provisioned. I just love talking with them.
