Update: The five-minute fiddle: Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket for iPhone

A while back now in April 2009, I was given some Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket (FMJ-11) headphones, following the Gadget Show Live (see here). I reviewed them after a five-minute fiddle, and initial impressions were that they are very good indeed – but what about after a quarter of a year of use?
Well, ongoing impressions are also that the headphones are excellent – they my de facto choice now from a bunch of headphones that I’ve tried with my iPhone, due to a combination of factors:
- they are sturdy – no breakages, tears, or damage
- they sound excellent
- noise-isolation is very good
- they have an integrated mic for taking calls
One thing I will say is that they are not the cheapest headphones on the market (in the UK at least), but searching around the web, you can find some decent discounts.
