Nokia Green Explorer, the mobile social network for eco-friendly folks, has been recently updated. The first thing you’ll notice is the familiar (at least for Nokia handset owners) Ovi look and feel. And it’s not just the style of the site that’s changed — you can now access the service using your Ovi username and password, which is cool and should help spur the adoption. However, the problem is that you can’t use your Ovi credentials when commenting on articles, and you’ll still need your email.
Other notable features include:
- New category called “Get Inspired” in the web service, where you can find articles from eco-minded bloggers;
- Ovi Maps is now used for displaying places on a map in the website;
- Quick access to UNESCO World Heritage Center’s sites around the world.
In addition, Nokia said that more content partners are going live in the near future, and has also announced to bring “Get Inspired” and Ovi Maps integration to the mobile client. Stay tuned…
