c64-app

Arggghhhh… I was so excited about the Commodore 64 Emulator for iPhone when I read Simon’s post about it last night. I grew up with the C64, and I was absolutely going to download the app today. But, alas, it has been pulled. Turns out that the BASIC interpreter was still present in the app (big violation of the SDK agreement), something Apple had worked with developer Manomio to remove… In fact, the initial app was rejected due to this.

Manomio has now corrected the problem (apparently), you can read their latest blog post on the matter right here.

A new version of the C64 app has been submitted to Apple… So, let’s see how long it takes to get approved/dissaproved. Surely they’re a little miffed at Manomio, no? All we can do now is hurry up and wait for approval. If and when the app makes a re-appearance, look for it to be available for $4.99.
