Hostel Hero iPhone app

Here’s one for backpackers around the world. Thanks to the new free application called Hostel Hero, iPhone ownin’ budget travellers or those who love the idea of sleeping in the room with 10 other people they’ve never seen before (but still own an iPhone or iPod Touch), can book a hostel in 150 countries from their beloved device, all while on-the-go.

Each of the hostels in the database is described in five languages, and there are also photos of rooms. Moreover, you can get location information thanks to the Google Maps integration — and finally, save all that for later reference and offline access.

Once you pick a hostel, tap to book it, in which case you’ll be charged 10% of the booking value as a deposit. The remaining balance is paid at the hostel…

And now for some video action. It follows right after the jump. Enjoy!

I found HostelHero app while wandering in iTunes searching for if any app for backpackers exist.

Smart, easy. I’d definitely use it during my travels.
