Telefónica Launches Application Store

Telefónica has just announced a little something called mstore, which will be a dedicated mobile software venue . Categories include games, dictionaries, entertainment, finance, health, GPS-maps, information, photos and videos, social networks, travel and books, sports, shopping, tools and education/children. As for prices, they’ll range between 0.49 Euros and 19.99 Euros, with roughly 10% of the 1000 apps available at launch being free. Devices on Movistar will start shipping with an mstore icon, but everything will also be available through their emócion web portal. Telefónica isn’t the first carrier to try this game, but we certainly hope they won’t be as draconian as Verizon is with theirs.
