After much ado, Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has officially announced the HTC Touch Pro 2. Worried about the price? You should be, considering what T-Mobile and Sprint for it earlier this summer. Well, you’re in luck, because Verizon’s TP2 will be running for a rather reasonable $199.99 after a 2-year contract and mail-in rebate. If you haven’t seen our review, the TP2 is a slider with a full QWERTY keyboard, 3.6″ touchscreen, runs Windows Mobile 6.1, hosts a 3.2MP camera with autofocus, microSD memory card slot, supporting up to 16GB, and a very welcome 3.5mm headphone jack. The good news here is the pricetag, so if you’ve been holding out for it to drop, you’ll be able to nab Verizon’s Touch Pro2 from their online store starting tomorrow.

Who cares it’s on Verizon the Network that only works in the USA.
If AT&T doesn’t let its plans be known soon about its TP2, I will jump ship and sign up with Verizon. I have waited years for this phone and my TILT is barely hanging on. AT&T sucks at Customer Service and PR IMHO. I don’t see how Verizon could be worse t5han AT&T anyway.
