Man, everyone gets a little jumpy when Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) has an announcement, eh?

Yubz The Signal #40: Motorolas Exclusive Cliq and Yubz Magnum Speaker GiveawayPalm (NSDQ: PALM), HTC, and Motorola (NYSE: MOT) all announced new handsets this week, conveniently close to Apple’s iPod event, but timing aside, Motorola’s cannonball into the Android pool is bound to make some waves. This beaut is available in four different kinds of leather, and normally retails for around $109.95. There’s a lot more going on – hit the jump and be sure to check out the Releases section for other devices outed this week.

Music by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, as featured on Tap Tap Revenge for the iPhone, and Hexadecimal Genome by Bit Shifter, playing live in New York at the Engadget Show this Sunday.

Hey, really enjoyed the discussion and analysis of Moto and Palm (can Palm share its shiny new WebOS toy with the other kids in the sandbox?)

I downloaded My Tracks on your recommendation, but am also concerned about battery life. I bought an extended battery from Sedio, which adds at least a day and a half of life for me, but the battery cover they send with it (the battery is too large for the original housing) is made of such cheap plastic that it has cracked and chipped in all the places where tabs hold it on: so I can sort of hold it together–real sexy–and get good use between charges or go back to the original, charge-a-day battery.

The Magnum looks awesome, I’ll cross all my digits when not in use.

looks great! love to have one.
